Overview

Data management is the heart of the unit. From the first line of a protocol to the last archived record, we make sure every study's data is captured cleanly, handled securely and kept analysis-ready.

We design and review case report forms, stand up the right capture system for each study, resolve queries in real time and give researchers controlled access through our data-browser systems — so scientists spend their time on science, not spreadsheets.

What we do

  1. Study setup & CRF design

    We review paper and electronic CRFs and agree a data-handling protocol before the first record is captured.

  2. Data capture

    HP TELEform, ODK, OpenClinica and REDCap — the right tool for paper, tablet or web-based collection.

  3. Query management

    Discrepancies are raised and resolved by Data Managers to keep every record accurate.

  4. Controlled access

    Researchers reach their data through our secure data-browser systems, with a full audit trail.

  5. Cleaning & reporting

    Routine quality and progress reporting, plus analysis-ready cleaning led by the Data Managers.

With every study, start to finish

  1. Before collection

    CRF and eCRF review, the data handling protocol and any in-house apps the study needs.

  2. During collection

    Processing, query management, controlled data access, routine reporting and backup.

  3. After collection

    Data cleaning, then long-term archiving and curation of the completed dataset.
